Assassin's Creed III

Assassin's Creed III is an action-adventure, stealth game set in an open world environment and played from a third-person perspective. The main narrative of the game follows Ratonhnaké:ton, also known as Connor, an 18th-century Assassin from Colonial America, and his involvement in various events during the American Revolution and the Revolutionary War. In the game's prologue, consisting of the first three main sequences, players control Connor's father Haytham Kenway, the leader of the Colonial Templars, while in the modern-day sequences, the player character is series protagonist Desmond Miles, who searches for a way to protect the Earth from an upcoming solar flare on December 21, 2012. The game world consists of three main areas: Boston, New York City, and a large wilderness known as the Frontier. Portions of the Eastern Seaboard and Caribbean Sea can be explored during the naval side missions.

The game is a sequel to Assassin's Creed Revelations. As in other installments of the series, the player controls Desmond Miles in the 21st century. This man can relive the memories of his ancestors through a device called the "Animus," allowing him to travel through time via their shared genetic memory. The struggle between the Assassins and Templars has indeed survived through all eras since their beginnings during the Crusades: the handful of Assassins resisting today (of whom Desmond is the last descendant) are threatened by the multinational corporation Abstergo Industries, which embraces the Templars' ideas. All are searching for artifacts left by an ancient civilization technologically more advanced than ours, but which disappeared thousands of years before the birth of Man. These objects possess considerable intrinsic power, and their assembly forms maps or keys. In Revelations, Desmond discovered the location of the last Temple in the United States and must now find the key to open it.
