Kung Zhu DS is a beat-'em-up platformer.

Choosing from Rivet, Sgt Serge, Stonewall, Rock-O', Drayko, Yama, and picking a set of armor from Thunder Strike, Ambush, Night Raid, Dune Tracker, Shadow Jonin and Fire Chunin, you can begin the game. You go through the level, collecting orbs and beating up enemies. You can also eat treats, which restores your health. By touching the tablet in the right corner, you can activate your armor, which will deactivate after you get hit enough. You can rescue other Zhus from cages, then unlock the ability to play as them.

Commencez le jeu en choisissant parmi Rivet , Sergent Serge , Stonewall , Rock-O' , Drayko , Yama et une armure parmi Frappe Tonnerre , Embuscade, Raid Nocturne , Traqueur des Dunes , Jonin de l'Ombre et Chunin de Feu. Vous parcourez les niveaux en collectant des orbes et en éliminant les ennemis. Vous pouvez également manger des friandises qui restaurent votre santé. En touchant la tablette dans le coin droit, vous pouvez activer votre armure, qui se désactivera après avoir été suffisamment touché. Vous pouvez sauver d'autres Zhus des cages et débloquer la possibilité de jouer avec eux.
